Apr 27, 2006 (newstodate): The new World flight Services cargo terminal at Copenhagen Airport has landed its launch customer: Delta Airlines that will inaugurate its new Boeing 767 route between Copenhagen and Atlanta on May 2.
The new 4,600 sq m cargo teminal including 285 sq m refrigerated/cool facilies for perishables handling, and some 1,600 sq m office space including offices for rent will start operations from May 1, designed to handle up to 60,000 tonnes of cargo annually.
Pending a final decision on future management, the terminal will initially be managed by Marc Claesen, WFS manager Benelux, and staffed by 30-35 employees.
