Apr 25, 2006 (newstodate): The Croatian airport Osijek is keen to see the resumption of perishables flights from Africa.
The airport expects the freighter operations with fresh fish from Tanzania to the European markets to return in May.
In 2005 the airport generated 81 IL-76 flights with 3,724 tonnes of imports and 106 tonnes of exports, but so far this year the airport has had only few cargo flights.
Osijek Airport is currently in the process of providing documentation and equipment for 900 m approach lights as part of ILS installation that should be completed by the end of this year.
