Mar 17, 2006 (newstodate): The new once-weekly China-Sweden freighter that starts during this weekend is driven by Scandinavian imports from China.
-The decision to set up the new route comes in responce to some of our key Scandinavian customers with continuous and large import flows that require maindeck capacity, says Henrik Nielsen, DFDS Transport Denmark managing director.
The MD-11F is a one-way charter operation from Malaysian operator Transmile and flies from Nanjing via Dubai to Malmo Sturup Airport, the nearest airport to its major conseignees.
According to Mr Nielsen, the shipments comprises a range of products, especially in electronics.
