Mar 29, 2006 (newstodate): A juridical responsum requested by SAS Cargo has cleared its trucking services provider Kim Johansen International Trucking of illegally using Estonian drivers on airline cargo trucking routes in Denmark.
-The responsum states that there is no basis for these allegations, and we can thus conclude that there is no ground for any action on our side, says Ulrik Marschall, SAS Cargo communications manager.
According to the responsum, the EU regulations do not contain any clauses against use of drivers of other EU-nationalities under special circumstances.
Danish unions have reported alleged incidents of Estonian drivers of Kim Johansen's trucks on SAS Cargo trucking routes in Denmark and Sweden, claiming that this was a breach of EU regulations, and specific cases were brought before the police by the unions.
