Mar 1, 2006 (newstodate): SAS Cargo expects to set up its air cargo handling and terminals in Denmark and Norway as separate business companies in 2006.
In Sweden SAS Cargo's terminals have already been an independent company since 2004, under the name Spirit Air Cargo Handling.
-The ultimate aim is to attract external partners to share ownership of the companies, but this will not influence the process in the first place, says Ulrik Marschall, SAS Cargo communications manager.
-Facing the imminent opening of a new, competing air cargo handling agent in Copenhagen Airport, the corporatisation of our handling in Denmark will be a decisive step towards securing competitiveness, and this would be further boosted by partnering with other parties, he says
