Mar 1, 2006 (newstodate): SAS Cargo saw its turnover up by 17 percent, to 356 million euro in 2005, while profits increased by 566.7 percent to 7.3 million euro.
The steep increase in profits is, however, due to changes in reporting pratices.
The yield continued its downward trend from 0.22 euro in 2004 to 0.21 euro in 2005, reflecting the sustained competition and falling rates in the market.
The volume of flown cargo increased by three percent to 286,788 tonnes, while flown tonne-kilometres were up by 5.3 percent to 1,039 million.
