Mar 2, 2006 (newstodate): SAS Cargo, NAP and Luftfartsverket, the Swedish CAA, are meeting again today to work out a plan for a new cargo terminal at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport.
-CAA will present their visions of the future development of Gothenburg Landvetter Airport and how they propose to cope with the increasing demands, says Anders Skantz, president of Spirit Air Cargo handling AB, SAS Cargo's handling subsidiary.
-We will definetely need a new and bigger air cargo terminal to handle today's volumes, and I am also aware that several freighter operators have aired their interest in Gothenburg Landvetter, provided more and better facilities become available. So it is time to make decisions, he says.
Last year SAS Cargo expanded its current facilities by 1,400 sq. m. as an interim solution pending a decision on the future new cargo terminal project.
