Mar 6, 2006 (newstodate): Russian carrier Samara Airlines is now operating its first Boeing 737 aircraft on its route network.
The Boeing 737-300 has been introduced on the route between Samara and Moscow, servedonce daily.
The arrival of the Boeing 737 marks the first step in a complete fleet renewal program to replace the four-crew TU-154M that consumes six tonnes of fuel per flying hour, double the consumption of the two-crew Boeing 737.
Samara Airlines will receive a further two Boeing 737 aircraft during this summer.
Samara Airlines is a member of the Russian airline alliance, AiRUnion.
