Mar 22, 2006 (newstodate): In 2006, Armenian carrier Armavia plans to expand its aircraft fleet.
Currrently operating a fleet comprising three Airbus A320, one YAK-42, one AN-24 and two leased TU-154 aircrft, the carrier will this year receive one A319 and one A330 aircraft, both on leasing contracts.
In June 2005, Siberia Airlines sold off its 68 percent stake in Armavia's shares to MIKA Armenia Trading Company, returning the airline to full national ownership.
