Mar 2, 2006 (newstodate): The Icelandic freighter operator Bluebird Cargo is in the market for acquisition of three Boeing 737-400 freighters.
The carrier currently operates five Boeing 737-300 freighters, and two Boeing 757-200F - primarily serving with integrators on European routes.
Bluebird Cargo was etablished in 2000 by a group of investors including its managing director Thor Kjartansson, and the company was taken over in August 2005 by the Icelandic FL Group that also controls Icelandair and Sterling.
