Mar 2, 2006 (newstodate): At the end of JAnuary, the European Aviation Safety Agency and the CIS Inter-State Aviation Committee signed new implementation procedures for design approvals of aircraft, engines and propellers from the EU.
This agreement complements the implementation procedures for design approvals of aircraft, engines and propellers from the CIS, previously signed in 2004.
In addition both organisations agreed on an action plan to address the continued airworthiness of Soviet-manufactured aircraft operated in new EU Member States, in particular of Kamov 26, IL-76 and MI-8 aircraft.
