Mar 17, 2006 (newstodate): In February, cargo volumes were up 14.4 percent y-o-y at Budapest Ferihegy Airport.
The airport generated a total of 5,782 tonnes of cargo during the month.
During the past 12 months running, cargo volumes reached 74,463 tonnes, down 6.2 percent compared with the same period in 2005.
-The increase in cargo traffic is good news, and we will expect to see stronger cargo growth in the coming months, once we have delivered the new cargo facilities which are needed to satisfy pent-up demand, says Chris Woodruff, Budapest Ferihegy Airport CEO.
