Mar 29, 2006 (newstodate): Bosnia and Herzegovina's Banja Luka Airport, opened to international traffic in 1998, may have a future in air cargo traffic.
ECAC cites international studies to indicate that the airport may become an important cargo traffic hub, and the airport operator has decided to establish a development plan for Banja Luka Airport.
The plan shall define the potentials of the airport functioning in the current market conditions, and lead to adaptation of a strategy for further airport development towards the anticipated traffic growth over the next 20 years.
Banja Luka Airport has one 2,503 m runway.
