Mar 21, 2006 (newstodate): The Armenian carier Armavia plans to start new routes from Yerevan to Anapa and Donetsk.
The carrier also intends to increase frequencies on routes to St. Petersburg, Samara, Odessa, Simferopol, Beirut, Athens, Aleppo and Tehran, but the construction works at the airport serves an a brake on developments at this stage.
Runway reconstruction and the daytime curfew on flights will proceed till July, 2006, when the airport will return to normal 24-7 operations, allowing the airline to boost expansion again.
