Mar 20, 2006 (newstodate): The battle to take over Bulgarian aiports of Varna and Bourgas may soon start afresh.
Last year Copenhagen Aiprorts emerged as the winner, but the result was contested by the losing parties Fraport and Vinci Airports, who took the issue to the court where the tender result was annulled.
The Bulgarian tender committee has now reviewed the issue and decided that the participants in the earlier tender will have two weeks to appeal the decision.
After that the Buylgarian government will be asked to name the candidates admitted to the new procedure.
Valid candidates to the tender must meet the requirements for at least two years of experience in running a minimum of two airports with annual traffic of over 2 mln passengers and one airport with annual traffic over 5 mln passengers, and must have proved able to invest at least euro 100 million in an airport project over the past five years.
