Mar 14, 2006 (newstodate): AES Cargo is seeing growing business in Croatia.
-While the early days saw us handling a lot of incoming aid shipments, nowadays export shipments account for at least half of our business, says Kresimir Loncar, AES Cargo Croatia operations manager.
-Interestingly, a considerable number of our export cargo over the past year has been humanitarian aid shipments bound for other troubled spots around the globe.
Initially, AES Cargo's clients were primarily international organizations and NGOs involved with regional relief efforts both during and after the Balkans Wars of the 1990ies, but the company is now increasingly handling commercial shipments for major multinationals in the region, including IBM and Deloitte.
