Feb 13, 2006 (newstodate): Work on Moscow Vnukovo Airport's new Terminal 1 is progressing.
The old international terminal, built in the 40'ies, is now being demolished, and the ground work for a new terminal and an overfly is being prepared.
The German company Obermeyer Planen won the tender for building the new 195,000 sq m terminal, the first phase of which is planned for completion by autumn, 2007, with the second part to follow in 2008.
The new terminal will comprise 24 new jetbridges.
