Feb 16, 2006 (newstodate): A British-Georgian JV has been set up to train students to become ATC controllers in Georgia.
Behind the new initiative are the UK company Astac International and Sakaeronavigatsia, Georgia's Air Navigation Service.
To manage and operate the new Tbilisi International Aviation Training Centre Astac has set up a Georgian subsidiary, Sakastac, in cooperation with Sakaeronavigatsia.
Astac also manages an ATC training center in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
