Feb 16, 2006 (newstodate): Work on the project for a JV between the now defunct Swedish airline SWE FLY and the Indian lcc SpiceJet is still progressing well.
Plans are for the JV to start operations on routes between UK and India via Stockholm, between New York and India via Stockholm, and between Toronto and India via Stockholm.
Air traffic rights have been confirmed by the Swedish aviation authorities, and a similar confirmation by the Indian authorities is expected any time now.
SpiceJet has declared itself ready to inject one million USD into the joint-venture with SWE FLY.
