Feb 8, 2006 (newstodate): Oslo Gardermoen Airport saw its cargo volumes up by no less than 23.3 percent in 2005.
The airport generated a total of 126,490 tonnes of cargo and mail, against 102,634 tonnes in the previous year.
The increase is due to the introduction in 2005 of the new twice-weekly joint Lufthansa Cargo/Japan Airlines Cargo service from Oslo to Nagoy, Japan from September 27, 2005, alongside Korean Air Cargo's twice-weekly service to Korea, and Aeroflot's twice-weekly service to Osaka, Japan.
