Feb 3, 2006 (newstodate): Pulkovo has received its last remaining Boeing 737-500 aircraft from US leasing company Jetscape.
This is the third and final B737-500 that Jetscape has delivered to Pulkovo in as many months under the terms of a five-aircraft agreement reached with Pulkovo in early 2005 in coordination with ILFC for two additional sister-ship aircraft.
The aircraft now delivered was manufactured in 1992.
After this delivery Pulkovo will now reportedly aim at building up a fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft of which it is to order up to six from a yet-unnamed leasing company.
This shift in fleet planning preferences is said to reflect the pressure from Pulkovo's new partner, Rossiya, with which it is now in a merger process expected to be completed early in 2006.
