Feb 28, 2006 (newstodate): After a tender, Post Sweden has awarded a contract for postal flights in Sweden to Polish operator Exin.
The privately-owned company, set up in 1991 and serving DHL and TNT, operates a fleet of five AN-26 freighters offering a 5.5 tonnes cargo capacity.
Exin will operate nightly on the route between Stockholm and Malmoe Sturup Airport five times weekly, increasing to six weekly flights during the period March-October.
Participating in the tender was also West Air Sweden that lost renewal of its contract with Amapola that provides Post Sweden with the air services.
