Feb 8, 2006 (newstodate): Before the end of this year, the Russian airline Aeroflot-Don will take in a total of four Fokker 100 aircraft.
The Rostov-based carrier will introduce its first Fokker 100 by the end of May 2006, serving the route between Rostov-on-Don and Moscow as well as international routes.
The aircraft will be taken on a yet-uannounced lease arrangement.
Aeroflot-Don will also receive some TU-134 aircraft from Aeroflot that has decided to phase out all Soviet-built aircraft before 2010, replacing them with new western-built aircraft.
Aeroflot-Don has been supported in its decision to acquire Fokker 100 by Montenegro Airlines that has transferred operational and technical expertise to the carrier.
