Feb 28, 2006 (newstodate): The Bulgarian Ministry of Transport has demanded an independent investigation of the recent collapse of a suspended ceiling at Sofia Airport's new passenger terminal under construction.
The investigation will also look into the execution of all finishing works on the site.
This decision is contained in an official letter to the Engineer NAKO, to the executor Strabag, to the Delegation of the European Commission, and the European Investment Bank.
The collapsed construction was finished in AugustSeptember 2005.
