Feb 8, 2006 (newstodate): In 2005, Copenhagen Airport saw its cargo volumes up by 5.8 percent, to 355,087 tonnes.
The increase is solely driven by transfer cargo that constituted 72.6 percent and increased by 12.2 percent through the year, to 247,970 tonnes.
Import cargo increased slightly by 1.7 percent to 42,130 tonnes, while export slided by 14.4 percent to 54,987 tonnes.
Aircraft movements were almost stable at an increase by 0.9 percent, while the maximum take-off weight was up by 13.2 percent, indicating the sustained and growing traffic by larger aircraft, notably the Boeing 747 freighters operated by Korean Airlines Cargo, with four, and Singapore Airlines Cargo, with eight weekly operations.
