Planned destinations to be axed are Kabul, Karachi, Urumqi and Aleppo.
As late as October 2005 the carrier announced its ambitious plans to reopen flights from July, 2006, with Boeing 757-200 aircraft to Karachi, and also from July with Airbus A319 aircraft to Delhi.
These routes were earlier served by the carrier but remain suspended for more than 10 years.
Sources say increasing fuel costs are behind the decision.
