Feb 8, 2006 (newstodate): Aeroflot is preparing to resume operations on the route between Moscow and Hanoi.
First flight will be February 20 after a long suspension caused by the grounding on September 22, 2005, of Russia's IL-96-300 fleet that left Aeroflot with lack of long-range aircraft options.
The Aeroflot board confirms its order for another batch of six IL-96-300 aircraft, but has warned the manufacturer that it must strictly observe the "List of aviation industry measures on elimination of admonition made on operation of Ilyushin-96-300 aircraft".
