Dec 19, 2006 (newstodate): Ukraine is considering a further decrease of state ownership in Ukraine International Airlines.
The state currently holds 61.6 percent of the shares, while EBRD holds 9.9 percent, and Austrian Airlines 22.5 percent, and the aircraft leasing company Aercap six percent.
Plans are to emit new shares reducing the state's ownership to 41 percent.
A business plan agreed by the shareholders stipules major investments in the airline that currently operates a fleet of 12 Boeing 737 aircraft.
