Dec 18, 2006 (newstodate): On December 10, Ukraine International Airlines took over its 13th Boeing 737 aircraft.
The Boeing 737-500 has entered the UIA fleet on a five years lease contract with GECAS, making it the carrier's seventh GECAS lease.
The new aircraft, now already in commercial service, is the fourth new aircraft delivered to Ukraine Int'l Airlines in 2006.
It will increase airlines operation by 20 percent compared with the same period of 2005-2006, when UIA routes network was served by nine aircraft.
In line with the long-term fleet development program and UIA operational business-plan for 2007-2009, the delivery of the next new Boeing 737 aircraft is planned on February 1, 2007, on a lease contract with the Swedish aircraft leasing company Volito.
