Dec 7, 2006 (newstodate): Volga-Dnepr Group's AirBridge Cargo is planning for a major fleet expansion.
Set up only in 2004 and currently operating three 747-200F and one 747-300SF freighters, ABC is planning for a fleet of nine aircraft by the end of 2008, adding two more 747-200F and receiving the first of two 747-400ERF in 2007, with the second aircraft to follow by early 2008 and joined by a third 747-400ERF during H1, 2008.
AirBridge Cargo, today Russia's second largest air cargo company, is also reportedly mulling plans for ordering a yet-unspecified number of Boeing 747-8 freighters.
AirBridge Cargo will start operations to the USA from next year as it takes in its first Boeing 747-400 freighter.
