Dec 11, 2006 (newstodate): While its first flight has still not been announced, fledgling Russian low-cost operator Sky Express is upbeat about its expectations for 2007.
-Today only five percent of Russia's population is using domestic flights, while in Europe this parameter reaches 67 percent. One of the primary objectives of Sky Express business is to stimulate the mobility of the nation, says Marina Bukalova, Sky Express General Director.
-By the end of 2007, Sky Express plans to get about seven percent of the Russian market of domestic air transportation, and in long-term prospect we expect to reach up to 25 percent of the market.
Sky Express plans to accomplish 6,000 flights during the first six months of 2007, and 30,000 flights during the next year.
