Dec 15, 2006 (newstodate): A Romanian aviation group Euro Avia is planning to start a new low-cost airline by Spring 2007.
Euro Avia is currently in the market for lease of two Boeing 737-700 or -800 aircraft on a 3-5 years lease contract.
-We will focus on low cost, point-to-point air transportation of Romanian people working in European countries, and among the first markets to be targeted are Germany and the UK, says Dumitru Serban, Euro Avia Group.
-As part of the infrastructure we will also install buses to connect Bucharest with cities in Romania and Ukraine, Moldova and other neighbouring countries to extend the catchment area.
Euro Avia will also be keen to attract JV partners to the projects that is expected to be launched by April, 2007.
