Dec 22, 2006 (newstodate): Icelandair Cargo is happy with its new twice-weekly operations since October 2006 at Sweden's Jonkoping Airport.
-On a general note we are very pleased with Jonkoping and believe that the airport has a future. We are interested in building our presence there - one step at the time, says Petur J Eriksson, Icelandair Cargo managing director.
Contrary to expectations, the carrier is however not planning for an immediate addition of a third frequency at Jonkoping.
-We have not added a third flight from Jonkoping. There has been talk about such flight but not from us. We are, however, looking into adding capacity later in 2007, and more flights from Jonkoping could become a reality by then, says Mr Eiriksson.
