Dec 21, 2006 (newstodate): Having arrived in Finland from Brazil on December 16, Finnair's first Embraer 190 aircraft is now in commercial service.
Finnair will receive a total of 10 new 100-seat Embraer 190 within the next three years, bringing the carrier's Embraer fleet to a total of 20 aircraft by 2009.
The new Embraer aircraft, in use on domestic and European routes, have replaced the Boeing MD-80 aircraft that were retired from the Finnair fleet in July, 2006.
