Dec 7, 2006 (newstodate): The Finnair Group Board has still to make a final decision on construction of a new Finnair Cargo terminal at Helsinki.
The issue will "probably" be on the board's agenda at its forthcoming meeting scheduled for next week, or at the first meeting in early February, 2007.
At a meeting in October, Finnair Cargo finalised plans for a euro 100+ mio project for a new terminal to cope with the company's strong increase in cargo business, notably driven by its succesful Asian traffic.
In its initial phase, the new terminal is excpected to be able to handle up to 150,000 tonnes of cargo annually, sources say.
