Dec 18, 2006 (newstodate): The privately-owned FaroeJet stopped all operations on December 17.
The carrier that was launced on May 15, 2006, on its only route between the Faroe Islands and Copenhagen thus became a short-lived experience, and all activities are reportedly now taken over by the other Faroese carrier, Atlantic Airways.
FaroeJet operated a single Avro RJ-100, and the company was set up by 950 Faroese investors comprising banks, transport companies, and private individuals.
