UPS now operates daily into Ljubljana, with onward shipments to be carried by Adria Airways' flights.
Four parties, UPS, Ljubljana Airport, Intereuropa, and Adria Airways, are behind the new service.
Ljubljana Airport has announced its decision to boost its cargo traffic to make the airport a regional cargo hub.
The airport saw its cargo volumes down by two percent in 2005, with a positive trend during H2.
In 2005 the airport generated a total of 11,750 tonnes of air cargo, expected to increase by about four percent in 2006.
