Dec 6, 2006 (newstodate): During the first nine months of this year, Norway's IATA export cargo volume kept almost stable, up 1.1 percent to 46,707 tonnes.
Comprising exports of fresh salmon, the bulk of Norway's IATA cargo, or 27 percent, was destined for Japan, but the traffic declined by 10.2 percent y-o-y during the period, aggregating a total of 12,625 tonnes.
China was the second-largest market with 10,100 tonnes, up 13.3 percent and comprising 21.6 percent of the total volume.
South East Asian destinations came third with 5,206 tonnes, corresponding to 11.1 percent of the total, and up 20 percent.
Forth was North America with a total of 4,871 tonnes, up 10.4 percent and comprising 10.4 percent of the totals.
With 2,652 tonnes of IATA export cargo, Korea stood for 5.7 percent of the totals after an increase by 6.9 percent during the period.
