Now operated two times weekly, Austrian employs an Airbus A319 on the route, originally slated for inauguration from March 2006 but delayed for flight operational reasons.
December also marks the first aniversary of Europe's first scheduled route to Erbil by Swedish airline Viking Airlines, flying from Stockholm and Copenhagen to Erbil and slated for further European expansion from next spring.
