Dec 14, 2006 (newstodate): The Armenian carrier Armavia is planning to launch a new flight between the capital Yerevan and Tblisi, Georgia.
Expected to be officially announced before the end of this year, the route would be operated twice weekly with YAK-42 aircraft.
Besides meeting demands for air travel between the two countries that are seeing trade and business expanding, the route would also provide Georgians with a travel option via Yerevan given the current stop of direct communication between Georgia and Russia.
