Dec 18, 2006 (newstodate): The grounding of the now defunct FaroeJet that operated between the Faroe Islands and Copenhagen, Denmark, has created problems for the cargo business.
-The shipments that were to go on FaroeJet AWBs on the flights now cancelled have been redirected to Atlantic Airways, but shipments destined to go during the weekend found no space on that carrier's fully-booked aircraft, says Christina Bennetzen, ProActive Airlines Services, FaroeJet's cargo GSA.
-We are now working hard to get them in the air during the first days of this week, and the parties have agreed to let them retain their original AWBs in order not to delay the process further, says Ms Bennetzen.
