Nov 14, 2006 (newstodate): Lithuanian airline Aurela is in the market for lease of a third Boeing 737-300 aircraft.
-We will need the aircraft for a minimum of three years and plan to introduce the added capacity from April, 2007, says Vitalij Lukjancenko, Aurela chief engineer and responsible for fleet planning.
-We operate for Lithuanian tour operators on a number of routes to tourist destinations, but we are planning gradually to turn several of these into scheduled flights, he says.
Earlier the carrier trafficked a route betwen Vilnius, Copenhagen and Egilsstad, Iceland, for air transport of dam construction workers, but this has now ceased after three years of operations.
