Nov 28, 2006 (newstodate): Germany's largest low-cost carrier Air Berlin has placed a huge order with Boeing.
Air Berlin has ordered a batch of 60 Boeing 737-800, and will also receive 15 Boeing 737-700 aircraft originally ordered by dba, now a part of Air Berlin.
Air Berlin will also receive 10 unfilled 737-700 aircraft from a dba order announced in 2005, thus expecting to take delivery of a total of 85 737 aircraft, starting in November 2007.
The aircraft order is so far Germany's largest.
