Nov 17, 2006 (newstodate): Despite the US company DynCorp has abrogated its cooperation with Serbia's Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, the project for a cargo and logistics center will remain on the table.
-The project was ready to be launched, but no contract was signed, so we have to start all over again, says a centrally-placed source.
-As we will have a new government in Serbia we now have to wait till the project is again confirmed, and then a fresh tender will be opened based on the existing, rather detailed plans.
-What we need is not just a competent cargo handling agent and a new investor. We need first of all a partner that can bring in solid industrial contacts and new operators to utilise the exceptional logistics poised to become a regional air cargo and logistics center, he says.
The new tender is expected to be opened early in 2007.
