Nov 28, 2006 (newstodate): First flight by Russia's first low cost operator, Sky Express is slated for mid-December this year.

No details on routings are yet announced, but will be released soon, she says.
The carrier will eventually operate a fleet of 44 Boeing 737 aircraft on routes from Moscow to the European part of Russia and Western Siberia, and has been recruiting Russian pilots with Boeing certificates. The first three aircraft were delivered this autumn.
EBRD is financing the project with up to USD 20 million equity, alongside a range of private equity investors and local entrepreneurs.
