Nov 3, 2006 (newstodate): The Tatarstan airline Nur-Avia is planning for a thorough modernisation of its aircraft fleet.
The airline has revealed its intentions to acquire a fleet of five Airbus A320-family aircraft, with the first to be taken on a lease arrangement before the end of this year already.
The carrier currently operates a fleet of six Yak-42, one Yak-40, three TU-154, four TU-134 and two AN-24 aircraft.
Nur-Avia is also to take delivery of six CRJ 900 aircraft within a one-year period.
Further down the line are plans for the acquisition of up to five longhaul aircraft.
