Nov 10, 2006 (newstodate): Having updated its statistics to comprise the first seven monhts of this year, Copenhagen Airport reports a growth in cargo volumes, driven by transfer cargo.
During January-July, the airport generated a total of 207,791 tonnes of cargo, up 4.1 percent y-o-y.
Transfer cargo, constituting 75.3 percent of totals, was up 9.2 percent, exports dropped by 22 percent to 25,913 tonnes and constituting 12.5 percent, while import cargo was up by 9.7 percent, constituting however only 12.3 percent of the total volume.
The most recent months now registered, July showed a decline by 0.1 percent in total volumes to 28,993 tonnes, marked by a stagnation in transfer cargo, up only 1.7 percent.
