Oct 9, 2006 (newstodate): Zagreb Airport, Croatia, is looking forward to continued progress in the low cost operator segment.
Lately, the Hungarian lcc Wizz Air has started preparations to make Zagreb Airport one of its operational hubs.
Wizz Air already operates five times weekly between London and Zagreb.
-Plans by Wizz Air are to open a number of new routes from Zagreb to, firstly, destinations in Scandinavia that are little covered by other operators, says Damir Vince, Zagreb Airport, advisor to the general manager.
-Next in line are routes to one or two destinations in Germany, although the German market is already highly competitive. Also being considered are routes from Zagreb to destinations in France, Spain, and other countries in southern Europe, says Mr Vince.
