Oct 27, 2006 (newstodate): The TwoOne Group, led by Vienna Airport, has now taken over management of Kosice Airport, Slovakia.
The group won the tender for privatisation of Slovakia's Bratislava and Kosice airports, but the privatisation of Bratislava was since annulled by the new Slovak government.
With two-thirds of the shares in Kosice Airport, its new operator is now obliged under the agreement to invest 10.7 million euro in the airport's apron and taxiways as well as non aviation-related businesses.
TwoOne sees a strong position for Kosice Airport as a turntable for regional point-to-point traffic between Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and Ukraine.
