Oct 13, 2006 (newstodate): Delta Airlines continues its large-scale network expansion by adding new airlinks between USA and East European destinations.
From May 2, 2007, Delta Airlines will thus start operations on a new route from Atlanta to Prague, the Czech Republic.
The new route will be served with the carrier's Boeing 767 aircraft.
To cope with the traffic increases including flights to 50 new destinations in 2006 and the new destinations announced for 2007, the carrier will add a further seven 767-400 aircraft to its international fleet by next summer bringing to 20 the number of aircraft moved from domestic to international routes since spring 2006.
With the addition of these aircraft to Delta's international fleet, all Delta flights to and from Asia will be operated with Boeing 777-200 aircraft while all long-range services to Europe and South America will feature 767-300 or 767-400 aircraft.
